Daniel Santigosa Sastre grew up in Argamasilla de Calatrava from the age of three, first playing football in nearby Puertollano before discovering padel and borrowing his parents' rackets during their club sessions. A rough patch in his attitude during one early tournament led to a serious conversation with his parents and, from it, a genuine commitment to the sport, one that required real sacrifices as he moved toward a professional career.
That commitment paid off alongside David Gala Sánchez, his long-standing partner: together they won double gold at the 2023 European Padel Games in Poland, a result Santigosa has called one of the greatest joys the sport has given him, and reached the final draw of the World Padel Tour event in Chile. Now based in Madrid, the Argamasilla native has built his career on that same partnership from the junior ranks upward.
