Francisco Jesús "Paquito" Navarro Compán grew up in Seville's Barrio de los Remedios, which gave him his nickname, "El Huracán del Barrio de los Remedios", the Hurricane. He picked up a racket at age 5 and was competing by 9, eventually becoming the only Spanish player crowned national champion at every age category, from the youngest juniors through the senior ranks.
Navarro turned professional in 2009 after years of close calls in junior finals. His breakthrough came in 2014, winning the Valencia Master alongside Maxi Grabiel against the tour's top-ranked pair, and a 2015 partnership with Matías Díaz pushed him to the world's second-ranked team. The high point came in 2019: paired with Juan Lebrón, Navarro reached world No. 1, part of the first Spanish pair ever to top the padel rankings.
Across a career built on relentless energy at the net, Navarro has partnered a long list of the sport's biggest names, among them Sanyo Gutiérrez, Pablo Lima, Martín Di Nenno, and Juan Tello, and has collected 25 WPT titles, a Premier Padel title, and two World Championships with Spain, in 2010 and 2021.
