Alejandro "Álex" Ruiz Granados, born on June 12, 1994, in Málaga, Spain, is a professional padel player known as "El Capitán América." Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of ten, Ruiz has overcome significant challenges to excel in his sport. 

He began his professional career in 2013 and achieved his first major title in 2015 by winning the Córdoba Challenger alongside Matías Marina. In 2021, partnering with Franco Stupaczuk, he secured victories at the Sardegna Open and the Mexico Open. 

Ruiz has also represented Spain in international competitions, contributing to the national team's success.
