Nicknamed "Galántico," "El Alien" and "El Monstruo de Leganés" for one of the most explosive smashes in the sport, Galán turned professional in 2014 and spent several seasons building toward his breakthrough, which arrived in 2017 alongside Juan Cruz Belluati. After his first title at the 2018 Valladolid Open with Matías Díaz and a strong run with Brazilian Pablo Lima in 2019, everything changed in 2020 when he teamed up with Juan Lebrón: together they ruled as world No. 1 for three straight years, 2020 through 2022, before Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello took over the top spot in May 2023.

Since joining forces with Chingotto in 2024, Galán has repeatedly beaten the Coello/Tapia pair, including at the Rome Italy Major and the FIP Pairs World Cup, keeping "Chingalán" among the circuit's toughest teams to face.
